Day 23
The day started with preparations for a Bahraini style BBQ. Friends were coming over at lunch time. I also baked an Apple Cake with Almonds, that, one of our friends really loves.
While the preparations were going on, my men were in the garden and field mowing the grass, especially between the cherry trees, sorting out the garage and all those things you would do on a Saturday or Sunday. The lavender, I planted last week already looks nice and strong and settled. My walnut tree has six walnut shoots on it. I was over the moon. I did not think I would see a walnut for at least another two years. And the Hazelnut tree is growing taller. I was happy, to see all my trees happy.
The guests arrived and the BBQ went well. There was Bahraini style lamb (tikka), cubed chicken shawarma, succulent salmon, halloumi cheese, potatoes and not forgetting the garlic bread. I made a fresh garden salad, and served it all up with Sangak Persian flat breads. The Apple cake, was later served with hot custard and red tea.
After everyone left, we embarked again, on opening a business account online, but still seem to be struggling with opening one. But we are pursuing it and I’m sure it will work out soon. Rayan also helped me with the card reader and has set it up for me to use quite easily. I can tick this of my to-do list now. We once again went online looking through bed linen and toiletries and I think we have finally got what we want. I am now in the process of contacting the two companies and then ordering the items we require for TGC. It was a long evening and we wound up quite late, but I feel it was quit progressive.
