Day 24
Its wonderful to have some of my close friends looking out for ideas for TGC and sending them on to me. I woke up this morning and looking at my phone, as the majority of us do, first thing in the morning, was a message from my lovely friend in Dubai, with an attachment on ideas for TGC. There were some really good and simple ideas on keeping the place really cosy and rustic.
There was a bit of a debate at home today, on what should go in and what should not, into TGC. Obviously, we all want to end up with the same result, and as we all want to implement our ideas, we have to discuss what is best. For me, starting up TGC, I want it to be special, cosy and somewhere, that my guests will arrive and leave and spread the word to others, that they have stayed, at a lovely little country retreat. It is not a typical apartment where you just throw in the furniture and hand in the key to your guest. It will be that A to Z experience with fine detail. This is what I am aiming for. For this reason, we may be taking a little more time for the set up, but I want to achieve that amazing final result.
I went on to finally place my order for all of the bed linen and bath towels. All natural materials are used, and after doing some online searching, they are very environmentally friendly. The company I have sourced them from, apparently cater to some big names and, as I have had the opportunity to stay at a few of these places, I am hoping what arrives will be of the similar quality and comfort. It should all arrive in a few days time, so hopefully I will be happy with the items.
I have also made enquiries with a UK based environmentally friendly toiletries company, that sell products with all natural ingredients, they are cruelty free and vegan friendly and their packaging is all recyclable. Looking forward to receiving a reply from them and carrying on with the order.
The Market Stall day gets yet again one day closer. I have typed out all the things that I need to take with me, a list of ingredients that are still pending and looking forward to the day as it gets closer. I am sure there will be some issues, as this will be the first time, but it will be a learning curve for me.
As it was Father’s Day, we spent the rest of the day at a Steam Engine and Vintage Car Fete. Husband, Father or Baba as our boys call their dad had a fabulous time, and I have to say I was pretty impressed too.

Another thing is, I would appreciate it being able to get/rent e-bikes at your place. Would be perfect for exploring
