Day 3
A Nice and sunny start to the bank holiday. I went into Tring to check out their very small Farmers Market that they have on Twice a month. I was told because it was a Bank Holiday that a few of the stalls had not made it for the market this time round. I went around checking out some of the food stalls, chatting to the stall owners asking them a few questions and I was trying to get a feel for opening a stall on 26th June, the pros and cons, whether is a good idea? or to try the next town, Berkhamsted who do have a bigger market, and every week. Some of the people I spoke to seemed quite positive and one stall owner seemed quite negative. I went on to buy some Rapeseed Oil from a stall which grow and make it in the area and a lovely Greek Olive Bread from another stall, supporting the small businesses. Leaving the market I had mixed feelings but have decided to go ahead, trial and error is the only way forward, and I want to take baby steps so will go for it on 26th June. Also as I live in the area, that’s where I shall start!
