Day 49
Day 49
I have had to post twice today, as our internet was down for almost 24 hours, apparently affecting almost 20 thousand people in and around the area. What was I talking about yesterday? The Glis. We have been told that the underground cables and wires were chewed away by an infestation of rodents, a lot of people say its the good old Glis. We will never know the truth. It could be one of the companies that are doing upgrades in the area, and blaming it on the rodents and gils. Or it could be true. So as I write, I see one email message coming in after the other from our local group, saying their email is back on. Gone are the days hundreds of years ago, when messages and letters were sent via pigeon. Nowadays we have no more patience if everything stops. Its all high tech now, and soon it will be all AI everywhere too.
All my stickers and cards have arrived for my next Market. They sent them quite quickly. More of the ingredients for my baking too, which I have now started to order on line. It is so much easier this way. I have been trying out two German cake recipes and trying to convert them into Vegan cakes for my next market. I want to give everyone the options to try out a piece of cake. I think I have almost got there. I do want them to taste almost similar to the real thing, and I want to do it with all natural ingredients and nothing processed. I have also now finalised and prepared all the ingredients to print out for my stollen recipes for Christmas. I want to get them all ready and printed so they are ready for the festive season.
We found another cute little side board for the entrance of TGC. Guests will be able to keep their shoes there too. We might put a few ornaments on the top.
From early on in March, we had a lovely colourful Pheasant come and visit us in the garden. Every morning and every evening, he would walk about showing off his lovely feathers. And all over sudden, from a few weeks ago, we see him no longer. I do not know whether he is visiting someone else, or if he became someone’s dinner or whether a fox has caught him. I hope we see him again sometime. But a new bird arrived, he too visits every morning. I do not know what it is, but a very lovely bird indeed!
