Day 73
The beautiful sounds of those birds chirping away in the early mornings as you wake up are just wonderful. Even as the weather starts to get cooler, I always like to keep the window slightly open to let in some fresh air. From when I was very young, I always remember my grandfather in Germany getting a little annoyed with us if we closed all the windows. He always wanted a bit of fresh air flowing through the apartment that my grandparents lived in.
Two of the young people I interviewed over the phone will be coming to visit over the weekend so I can show them what I would like to do on the day of the dinner experience. It will be great to have someone by my side to help serve so things go smoothly. A few additions for the table have been ordered and are on their way. Thanks to good old Amazon and other online shopping websites, you don't have to race around the whole country buying things. Everything comes to your doorstep.
As we have moved into the harvest season, there is a lot going on in our little town and its surroundings. We will be having a whole month of apples, apple parades, talks on apple pruning, and everything apples. Our next cake market stall will also be focusing on many baked goods with apples. After that comes the pumpkins and their families too. For a little town, there is always so much going on. It's fantastic!
The sheep have started to huddle up together under the big tree in our neighbour's field. Although it still is not really cold, perhaps they too are preparing themselves for the change in weather.
