The day began with an hour of yoga. It feels so good to start the day early. I was never a late riser in the mornings, even when I was younger. I always felt, and still feel, it's such a waste of a day not to wake up early. I know not everyone will agree with me. That being said, there are nights when it is difficult to sleep for one reason or another, and it feels hard to get out of bed in the morning. I still do, though. And today was one of those days.
A trip to the Friday Charter market was next on the list to buy some vegetables, fruits, and some fresh fish. The Greek stall that sells my favourite cold-pressed olive oil was nowhere to be seen today. Perhaps he has taken a little holiday himself. He also sells really nice olives!
Back home, I baked my wholegrain rye bread, which had been fermenting for over 24 hours. It turned out really well!
Reza has been busy today planning how to organise our utility room after our new boilers have been fitted. Everything already looks so much neater and organised. I am very lucky to have an excellent "handyman" hubby. He always keeps so many things in the garage to recycle. I look at it all and think, "That's junk!" Why are we not throwing it away? A few weeks later, there's a recycled door or panel or something new in the house from the things that I originally called junk! Ha ha. So that's my hubby! He's definitely a keeper, hee hee! We went off to buy wood and other items, but I think the decision has been made to order the things online.
I interviewed one of the girls today to help out at the dinners. And I am seeing another one today.
We visited our local pub in the evening and met some people and a new friend from the area. We go once in a while, and there is a nice atmosphere on the weekend, with someone singing from time to time.
I was reading my emails at the end of the night and received a lovely one from a lady who is also following my journey and how she enjoyed reading it. It put a big smile on my face before I closed my eyes.
I too love reading what is happening with you, it makes me smile. Well done Fatima💕💕💕💕
