Day 82
What a marvellous start to the day at the Apple Fayre Market Day! Our first customer and our lovely new friend arrived to purchase some cake before heading out for the weekend to visit relatives. And that's how the day began. It was quite chilly but wonderfully sunny! Many people arrived, and the cakes and stollen sold really well. Since it was the Apple Fayre, I focused on all the cakes with apples, and people truly appreciated that. In fact, one person even commented on my numerous cake ideas. As always, the cheesecakes were the first to disappear, and the Apple Stollen were a total hit! A father even returned to tell me his son loved the Apple chocolate cake, and another lady came to buy some cakes after her neighbour told her about the delicious cakes I make. The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful. I also received two Christmas orders for my traditional stollen from another lovely lady who runs a stall at the market. And, most importantly, my regular customers were back, with one of them being disappointed because she missed out on the cheesecake.
The actual parade kicked off at 10:30 am, and as it made its way towards the market, there was a lot of Morris dancing and music. After the parade, there was a lot of hustle and bustle, with many young ones who had also participated in the parade.
After a fantastic day, we headed back home. With both our young men with us, I prepared a wonderful meal, and we lit our new wood stove, enjoying a cosy and relaxing evening together.

They were yummy cakes indeed! ❤️
